I love the ranch dressing at restaurants but stuff you get from a grocery store is so tangy and different. What makes the restaurant stuff so much better? Does anyone have a recipe?

A good restaurant would make the Ranch Dressing from scratch which is much better tasting than any brand of commercial Ranch - even Hidden Valley. Take the time to make it fresh. Buy the HVR Dressing in the envelope. You simply mix it with 1 cup real mayonnaise and 1 cup milk. Once you make it this way, you'll never buy bottled again.

You'll probably be surprised to hear this but every restaurant I have ever worked in just used larger containers of the ranch dressing you buy in the grocery store. It could just be that you buy a different brand than what your favourite restaurant uses.

why is that??? Actually, many restaurants use Marizetti's dressing! You can find them in the refridgerated section of your produce isle. Marizetti's ranch is reallly good, and tastes nothing like Hidden valley

the ranch in restaurants is made with mayo, buttermilk and the seasoning pack, the one you buy has vinegar and a preservative added for shelf life

Many restaurants buy it in bulk from suppliers and then add water to it to make more of it. That why sometimes its really runny. And then there's those who make theyre own.

prop, cause the use didffernt kinds and then nest time u go to a resturant ask the waiter or waitress what kind of dressing it is and maybe they could help you out a little
