I'm with ya', we've talked about this. After talking to you I know that drinking won't be apart of my life until I can handle it. Most of my friends drink, or have at some point. I worry about them, but... other than tell them what could happen to them, there's nothing that I can do. Some of my friends have told me that after having me in their life, they have given up drinking or cut back. Most parents imagine themselves at a younger age, it probably means that she drank at your age. Sit her down and tell her how you feel.

I was in the same situation as you are now when I was in high school. However, my parents knew my feelings and such about underage drinking and they respected that. They did tell me, however, that if I ever DID go out and drink didn't feel like I could drive home to call them and they would come and pick me up. I actually started the SADD chapter at my high school as my senior project. And it was funny because I just had my 5 year class reunion this year, and several people just about fell to the floor in amazement when I had a beer. It's not that I'm against drinking ALL TOGETHER...it's the fact that I didn't, and still don't agree with UNDERAGE drinking. Try sitting down with your mom and explaining to her how you feel about this, if you have that type of relationship where you can sit and talk with her. Let her know your intentions and how serious you are about them. Maybe that will help her understand?! Best of luck!!!

I do not drink underage however I believe the federal government will have to difference whatever both the ingesting age or the age to enter the navy when you consider that how come an 18 year historic child can pass into the navy however cant have a undergo after he simply watched anybody get shot? So I believe I might difference the age to 21 to be competent to enter the navy.

Im proud of you. My son is 16 and even though most of his friends drink, he also chooses not to drink. I have complete confidence in him and would not doubt him unless he gave me a good reason to. Juat keep reminding your mom that you are proud of the fact that you dont drink and that it is an isult that she doesnt trust you.
