I can't seem to locate the listing of requirements in order to be able to choose a specialty license plate for my street rod in Maine. Any ideas? The State of Maine website nor the DMV website offer any insight?!?

You called the DMV and they couldn't help you? You might have just talked to an idiot, try calling back tomorrow and you might get someone who knows what they are doing.
Or you can go to where you will register your car (Town Office where I'm from) and they will be able to tell you.
p.s. I'm grew up in Maine. I miss the summers like crazy!
