Most car companies charge you extra if you are under 25. Each car company has their own set of rules. Many car rental companies charge you the total rental on your credit card. All major car rentals require a credit card or debit credit card if you are flying in from out of state. The extra car insurance a day ranges from $9.00 -$15.00 a day which covers the entire car. You would much rather pay this price then your insurance deductible if something where to happen to the rental. You can rent a car for long as you like, long as you can afford it!

They'll offer extra insurance, which if you have regular coverage you don't need. But if something happens, it would go on your insurance, and raise your deductible, versus if you get theres it does not. . . . .You shouldn't need a deposit, but they will charge you extra per day because you are under 25. Usually $25 per day on top of the regular price. They just need a drivers license, and not too much other information. Usually an address of where you are staying in that local city or name of a hotel you'll be at. I've never seen a security deposit needed. Your own insurance should cover you anywhere in the country, or even further. This will all vary also by car rental company. Check some out on travel sites like expedia, or travelocity, etc, before you go. Also if you have AAA make sure to mention it because you get a discount! AAA works with Hertz rental cards, and usually will give you coupons if you request so, for like an upgrade or something.

Declined the insurance if you already drive a car with insurance. No security deposit. Ask for mileage limit. Use a credit card.

Usually you have to be 25 to rent a car... but they might make exceptions. Call the company and find out.
