If you go to a cafe or restaurant, you both order, She pays the tab, a guy only leaves a tip. Its best not to leave a tip as you aren't going to see that waitress again anyway! If she asks why no tip, you say you are starting a new custom, no tip! Now, if she says she is the dessert that's a whole new ballgame! What do you think? Am I right! This is a man's world!

You'd be surprised how many girls would pay to take a guy out on a date. That way they aren't obligated to the guy for what they want! There's times I have too many girls I have to fight off! They like the idea. Besides, young teenagers aren't required to leave a waitress a tip, that only applies to adults over 17 years of age.So, I don't know where many of you got your education (out behind the barn?)

I'm a guy. I go on a few dates. Here is the real rule.
Does the woman work?
Yes: Split the dinner
No: Guy pays if she is genuinely nice
In the new age of women's rights and all that, an equal position in society truly means that.
An additional benefit of not paying for the whole thing is that you don't get her to always expect. Expectation can be a bad thing, especially if she gets used to getting a free ride. Then when you give her a cheap ride, she complains.
And the rule for buying a girl a drink that you don't know:
1) No
Don't do it - it only means that you will be taken advantage of. I learned that the first day in Southern California.

no first of all anytime when a man and a women goes out on any type of date the man is suppose to cover everything tips and checks, but if worse comes to worse the only thing the women is suppose to pay for is occasionally the tip. but even at that it still makes the man look bad BC he is suppose to cover everything. And if you don't leave a tip ,the next time you come back in that restaurant the waitress will remember you and treat you terrible BC she isn't making any money off of you so why should she break her neck to make sure your okay

Ok!! first of all you are an idiot!...If you think its stupid for the guy to pay then..apparently you arent a gentlemen..If they girl offers to pay half or all then let her if u want..but DUHHH..you're the guy..and im not just saying it b/c im a girl..Im sure a lot of other guys think the same...I mean I wouldnt mind paying but I think ur jsut being selfish.........and second..you should ALWAYS leave a tip. who cares if u see the waitress agian..tips are what they live for!..they get payed like nothing......and Its common courtesy!............and like the others said..you must not get much dates..do you?

umm noo. my motto is if a guy wants to kiss and feel and grab on a girl then the least he can do is pick up a check. its only polite to pay for the dinner especially if the guy initiated the date. maybe things can change once a long and comfortable relationship is established but you must show the girl you're reliable and generous. i would never talk to a guy again if he made me pay. it would make me feel like he didnt think i was worth a dinner and a movie. and trust me low self esteem is not a good look.

no, you're absolutely wrong, good luck finding a girl stupid enough to pay for your tab. If you invite a girl out, its because you're going to pay for everything, its very very embarrasing when I see a girl paying for the guy, while the guy just stands there looking like a low life, broke imbesil. I dont know every date that I have gone on the dude paid for the date I have never paid for a date I bought ice cream once but never like bought dinner so I dont think that the girl is suppose to buy but my boyfriend said that the person who offers/asks the other person on a date pays like he asked me out he pays but I dont know I think you are wrong on this one.
