Jay M is right ---most bling for the money is in the wheels
BTW does any body else wonder why so many chevy people come to the FORD category here @YahooAnswers & try to answer Ford questions ? Don't they know there's a chevy category? Is it Ford Envy ?
(psst ...I answered your question a couple of hours ago......then just now , I clicked over to the chevy questions......they are really boring & stupid questions......no wonder the chevy people keep coming over to the Ford section.....half of the questions over there aren't even intelligable!)

It really depends on the year, color, and model (gt-lx etc.) Some of the fox body style look better with a strip down and monochromatic paint scheme. The last generation looked good with the right set of wheels and tires that give it more of the track look. Ghosted racing stripes can give it a subtle look if the car is darker.
If it is a new body the port window block outs similar to the Shelby is a good retro look and solid set of wheels and tires on it. Give it a good stance and it will have a serious vintage presence. A custom billet grill is nice if you want to go away form the factory look. Unless you are going to put the money in the drive train to back it up don't put too much into fascias, wings (ground effects) etc. It will make you look like a poser.

keep the outside pretty much stock and put about 600 horses under the hood and laugh at the guy in his camero or should i say "slowmero". no better way to embarrass the chevy guy in his pimped out camero than to spank his ugly a$$ in a "stock" mustang. by the way if you really want to know at least lower it and put wheels on it. just not 20's though. it is a muscle car ya know probably no larger than 19's. and make them a nice wide 10 inches in the back. so tell me what you think i should do to my special ordered 07 mustang gt

It doesn't matter what kind of car you have or even whether it has a nice paint job or not......What ultimately makes a car look cool and what I suggest you invest most of your money in? Rims, Rims, And more Rims. The can make a POS look cool! Body kits next....such as ground effects, hood and roof scoops and of course....A Big @ss Tail Fin!

You can enter your Ford into a Pimp My Ride show, or you could paint it different than any other car you've seen. You could paint fire or somthing like that on it. Another thing you can do is to decorate it on the inside that could save you money and hard work on the paint.
