depending on the situations, is he getting out while tied up or while out on a walk? If he is on the walk they have these cool harnesses now that have the ring in the front of the chest more for pulling, but may help you, I've also seen these harnesses that clip above the shoulders, the dog has to step into it almost like a vest. those might help you. If he is getting out of them while tied up, then you might want to try, a plain collar, do both and put a small rope attaching both harness and collar. I wish you luck.

My friends had a dog that was a real Houdini. They got him one of those harnesses that go around the chest (not just the neck). Here's a link to what I mean:

Think of the kind that you see on guide dogs for the blind (but without the big handle on top).

Try going to your pet store and getting a walking harness. Its one that you have to put their legs through and it buckles together under their chest. They cant get out of it and you also have better control and you dont run the risk of choking them either. My parents used one our lab growing up and he actually handled alot better once he got used to it.

HARNESS??? Whatever FOR?? Sleddog? TRACKING?? That's the ONLY reason to EVER use a HARNESS!!
Use a COLLAR! Harnesses only ***TEACH*** dogs to PULL!!!

I WOULD CALL A DOG TRAINER AND ASK HIM WHAT HE THINGS WOULD BE THE BEST HARNESS TO USE...THATS YOUR BEST BET...
