I was in love with someone, something happened, and heart was broken. Wanted to heal, but it doesn't. Feel pathetic, don't want to feel pathetic. Is it pathetic to stay in love after 1 year?

I don't think it is pathetic to still be in love with your ex after 1 year. It takes some people longer to heal after a relationship gone wrong. Just don't miss out on an opportunity 2 love or be loved by someone else because of what happened in the past.

No, it just sounds like this was a really important person in your life. It also sounds like it was true and real..... that is the thing about a heart.... once broken, it is hard to heal. I do think you should think about what happened and why you aren't with this person. You must have had a pretty good reason for breaking up.
Think about what you want in a relationship and how good it will feel when you are in one that has everything that you want!

Yes, it's just simply pathetic. What would this girl think if she found out that you're in this pathetic situation now. Here's a few remedies:

1. Break-up Movies (Two Can Play That Game, The Brothers, etc.)
2. Working Out, go work out, play basketball.
3. Join AdultFriendFinder.com and SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!

Love? Everyone thinks they've found it but it really exists in movies.

I do not think it is pathetic. Don't be so hard on yourself. Love is not a light switch. You can't just turn it off and on. It takes time to go away and in some cases love never goes away it just subsides because we hide our emotions. Right under our brave face there it is though. Don't be so hard on yourself I still love my ex but he would never know because I have not contacted him in anyway since we broke up. Just take things one day at a time. You'll be ok.

Negative on the pathetic. It happens a lot. I was once told that if you still miss her after a year, you were truly in love with her. Sorry for your loss.

no it isn't because that is how you feel and your heart can't help the way it feels for someone else. Obviously you just need more time to get over it all...break ups are hard to go through esspecially when the person you are not with anymore was someone you cared deeply for. Best of Luck!

What you are feeling is very normal. infact, I don't think people who are truly in love with the other person ever gets over it but you have to make that decision that this person has moved on with their life. God knows, maybe seldomly thinks about me, so I have to set her free and move on with my life as well. It's a decision. Good luck!

Yes, you are drowning in it. Slap yourself on the head, and wake up. Life is passing you by, and you are missing opportunities, to meet other men. Someone, who could be your lover, the man of your dreams.
How can you do that, if you are sitting in your room, feeling sorry for yourself.
Only you, can change the situation, so do it girl, for your own sake and sanity.
