I used to smoke a lot of weed. I have written some of my best poetry and songs while I was high. Studies show that brain cells can be severed by smoking marijuana, but what they don't tell is that in those same studies nothing happened to over 40 percent of the people tested. In some cases, brain cells regenerated when people learned or read or did activities that stimulated the brain while they were high. I guess it all depends on what you do when you smoke.

If it did lots of people would be dead. it affects your brain chemistry , it increases the amount of a chemical that naturally occurs in your brain. It affects the higher functions in your brain
, thinking, memory and emotions. It can make you think deep deep thoughts. It can bring back memories from the past and prevent you from making new ones when you're smoking it. It can make you giggly , it can make you paranoid , it has made me cry .It doesn't effect important brain functions like breathing, temp control or heartbeat. It interferes with the transmission of a signal from one neuron to the other. However , the stupidness it causes is only temporary. What would it matter if it did kill brain cells because all of those cells are going to die someday anyhow.
Worst thing about it is that its expensive and difficult at times to access.

Marijuana does NOT kill brain cells. The only big thing that marijuana does is effects your memory. Some people experience unexpected memory lapses, like they forget what they were talking about. These symptoms only occur when a person is actually high. It is not permanent.

No way.
My husband has a serious brain injury and to keep his emotions in check the doctors RECOMMENDED marijuana. They told me Marijuana is the elephant in the room in the medical community. It prevents seizures in epileptic and helps ease the pain of countless other ailments such as glaucoma and MS. Montel Williams smokes pot for his MS, he's not stupid.....

Yes, so does alcohol. Do that kind of thing in moderation. Keep control. Do you homework, responsibilities and things of that nature first. If you're going to smoke it, earn your smoke time with your accomplishments. Then take a little puff to celebrate. If you let it, it will drag you down and make you an idiot bum with no future.
