All right.. where to start.. I have lost 200 lbs as of last week. I am 4'11" and was dying inside emotionally and physically. I felt completely judged and like a worthless piece of poop. When you get that big it gets to a place where you just give up because every time you take months and months to lose weight.. and then give up.. and put all the hard earned weight on twice as fast and twice as much. I had to make the decision in my heart that I deserved to take care of myself. That I deserved to be healthy. That takes a long painful road to get to that place. I am not pouring all this out for anybody's sympathy... I'm just saying it like it is. I was working 12 hour days on cement floors at 360 lbs and STILL it wouldn't come off. It wasn't like I wasn't getting off the couch. Sometimes our metabolism just gets to a place where it doesn't function anymore. I'm grateful that even though I got that big it didn't keep me from leaving the house. I would go out and live life. go to school.. go to art museums.. go to craft fairs.. if skinny people couldn't handle me than TOO BAD.
Well.. here I am a few years later.. I'm 159 lbs as of this morning and it's a trip because I still feel like the size 4x person. I still feel like a piece of poop. That I'll never be good enough...and NOW I get to live LONGER feeling like this. The good thing though is that I am getting medical attention for my depression...(With rapid weight loss all the hormones in your body that have been stored in those bajillion fat cells get let loose...and yeee haww).
If you feel like you need to make yourself feel better because you are better than other people because you aren't heavy...wow.. I feel bad for you. A person is a person because of what is on the INSIDE. I see a person's SOUL...not the shell that they walk around in. Basically most of the so called "pretty" people that I have met are pretty dang ugly on the inside. If you think this question is gonna motivate someone... hmm.. don't think so..
I think if you TRUELY want to help another human being... go physically help them.. say you'll walk with them every day.. be their DAILY weight loss buddy... (I'm sure that you aren't in "perfect shape" either.) If they don't want the help then there is nothing you can do but at least from a humanitarian point of view you will have made a better effort then just typing a question on this site. Try to help someone from the inside out. Obesity is finally considered by the medical profession as a disease.. that can and WILL kill people. I'm grateful for finally getting mad enough at myself to actually DO something about it. I had to have gastric bypass surgery to make a dent in my metabolism and to drastically change my eating habits. I figure I've eaten way more than my share. I have so much more energy..can wear so many more cute clothes.. Now I get to work on getting my insides to catch up with my outsides... Sorry to get blabbing..but this is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. It is a frightening thing to see someone you love slowly killing themselves with food..alcohol..drugs.. gambling.. just fill in your favorite addiction. My brother was 500 lbs when he died. He wrecked a big hippy school bus and couldn't get out of it in time and was caught between the rail and the bus. He never got a chance to see if he could do something about working on his insides to help make his outsides better.. Pray for people like us please. Thanks for listening

Yes. Yes I am. I am 16 years old 5 feet 6 inches tall and weigh 230 lbs. I would like to lose weight. The only problem is time. I wake up at 5:30 a.m. and return home at 3:30 p.m. When I get home I am tired and then I still have homework to do for all my A.P. and honors classes. I think that Im just making excuses for my self. But I am trying. When wrestling begins at my school in November I will join. My one friend lost thirty pounds by the end of it.

No, but puberty can cause the person to grow taller and the weight will distribute itself a little bit, so they can appear a little thinner (but not much). An overweight pre-teen has already developed eating habits that put the weight on, and unless they change their eating habits to be more healthy and weight-conscious, they will be an overweight teen and adult.

again, you should not judge. How does your question going to save the world? How do you feel that it is really going to motivate someone??? Are YOU overweight and lost? What motivated you? This would be the better question.

I'm not sure where this question is meant to actually go.
People will lose weight when they are ready to loose weight.
