At our office, we usually leave it in 24-48 hours and then remove it. Once we remove it, we give a syringe for you to take home and cleanse the area with. The solution in the syringe is 1 part peroxide and 2 parts water, you can also you salt water. This helps cleanse the area if any food is stuck there, and also help with infections.
