I promise you it will pass! Stick with soups and soft foods for a few days. It's tough I know but keep the end goal in mind-really nice smile!

when you just get them eat an extra large bowl of ice cream. nothing with fruit or anything chewy or hard.cause it will get stuck in your braces. afterword for meals cut up your food into very small pieces and chew a little at a time. to numb the pain you should go your local grocery store to pick up mubing stuff you would you use for canker sores and and dab it where it hurts
good luck

as yes i remember braces, they don't much feel good, but the pain lessens with time, until you get them tightened, stick to mashed and soft foods, puddings, yogurts, ice creams, soup, noodles..try warm and cold compresses on your face...and i hate to say it, but just wait it out, it will feel better soon enough.
