First off, anything you can do to add moisture to it before styling (like deep conditioner, leave-in conditioner) will help a lot so that it doesn't absorb moisturefrom the air when you are outside. A straightening balm like Phytodefrisant (Frizz Ease works for some people too) helps smooth hair when you blow dry or leaves smoother curls/waves when you air dry. I recently started using the Remington wet to dry straightening iron with Phytodefrisant, Neutrogena Triple Moisture deep conditoner and a heat protecting spray because I hate blowdrying, the results are really great and can last days!

Rub a little bit of liquid paraffin in your hair when its wet. It feels yuck at first but when your hair dries it's soft and not frizzy. It works for me and I live in Tropical North Queensland Australia. Good luck.

Humidity and hair have a personality clash. You may have to move to Arizona.
