Do you have the right to tell someone else's children they will "go to hell" for this and that. Do you have the right to tell someone else's children that they will not "go to hell."

But if you really believe that the child has a chance of going to hell, don't you have a responsibility to do whatever you can? Respecting other parents is good, but what about when it really matters, and they are not doing the right thing?

no one has the right to tell anyone they are going to hell....the last time i checked there was only one judge of humanity and he sits above staring down at us all the time

You can tell the truth. I'm not sure about "rights." I remember when my daughter was younger and at home, we were Christians, and this is the way we lived. If she or her friends had questions, they asked, or things always came up naturally and we talked very naturally and normally about the Lord. I didn't "put the scare of hell into them" but I did speak the truth as I know it from the Scriptures.
This is why it's so important to have such a good relationship with the Lord, so that when the time is right we can be sensitive to His leading, and not our leading. To know when to say things is key, and we can only know when those times are unless we stay close to Him, and He lets us know.

You are furious, and with good reason. No one has the right to judge and sentence to hell except God. We also can't exonerate others, but there is a real process called forgiveness of sin. Don't do a slow burn. Stop and think about what made you so angry and then speak with the person rationally and ask them to keep their religious beliefs out of your children's lives. Good luck!

Ya know, in the Dark Ages, we used to cut peoples tongues out...Hmmm...that would certainly guarantee they wouldn't subject MY kids to their evil brainwashing again! But then again, if you said something like that to my kids, (they're NOT heathens) they'd tell you where to go! Such negative judgment on a child shouldn't happen...that's how they become bad kids! Go take some parenting classes...at the mental health center!
Blessed Be...for the children are innocent, not knowing good from evil ! READ YOUR BOOK!
It's in there!

For a while you have the right, but soon the LIBERALS will take that away. You have never had the right to tell someone else kids anything the parent does not want the kids to know, but LIBERALS feel they have that right.

It is none of your business what they do or think or feel. You should never tell your kids they are going to hell either.
I don't understand why religious people care anyway being they take their kids to church and that is all they hear there. You will go to hell if you don't do this or if you do that or if you don't put all your money in the pot.

I would never scare the crap out of a child like that. Perhaps that parent will go to hell instead.

I would say no. The belief of going to "hell" and suffering for eternity is completely unscriptual anyway. The bible clearly tells us that you will simply die and never be resurrected if God so chooses that that would be just. He knows what is best so we can trust him to make these decisions. So we probably shouldn't be telling anyone they will be going to hell or wherever.

I would be careful of telling anyone's children they will to or not go to hell for things they do and say. It is not your place to attempt to influence a child that is not within you sphere of care. Go for for the gold...tackle the parents.....Or is that too hard!
