Pee on him first. If he wakes up while you are at it, just grin at him and wink.

First of all, if the dog is urinating excessively, take it to a vet. Excessive urinating can be a sign of certain diseases and even if it isn't, the vet can usually provide medication to help. Also, try locking the dog in an area that doesn't have carpeting such as a kitchen or bathroom. I have found with my dog that he won't go unless he is in a place with carpeting. If you don't have doors, you can get the plastic gates that you put at the top of stairs for babies or you can just block the entryways with chairs, boxes, etc.

First of all,I see all the little kiddies with silly answers are all out to reply. If your dog is a small puppy,he has not yet learned to potty outside or on newspapers. If it is a grown dog,I would have him checked by a vet to see if there is a bladder control problem,If not,try taking him out to potty just before bedtime and restrict his water consumption for about 2 hours before bedtime. As long as he has plenty of water the rest of the day, restricting water at bedtime will not harm him.

Either you quit sleeping on the floor or the dog quits sleeping in your bed...seriously, check with the vet...and in the meantime get him a crate and let him use that night...crates are dogs' very own safe, secure places and they don't make a mess in them...

pee on him, he is marking territory and property. Time to let him know who is boss(leader of the pack) and make him sleep outside on the floor and not in your bed.
