Since science is based on naturalism and rejects supernatural explanations ( Like God, miracles, creationism, afterlife, angels, unicorns, and other biblical concepts), isn't it actually anti-bible and anti-Christ as well. Is a christian scientist an oxymoron in this post-modern age? Shouldn't our culture be based on the word of God, and not the wisdom of man? God said it, I believe it, that settles it, amen?

I would say that you have better than 50% chance in seeing the Anti-Christ.

You will love him and serve him and worship him, you may even kill for him.

You have no protection from him. All I can say is enjoy him.

I think that you can believe in both. For example, I believe that God created the world and the universe. I also believe that humans and animals evolve and become extinct. I don't believe that we were a single cell organism and we become monkey's and became humans from there. There was a point in time where we had to be broader and be covered with hair because of the environment around us.
I am just a Christian who happens to understand that we need science as well. Maybe God gave us science. But then again it's just my opinion.

Don't believe in things because you are told to believe something or because someone else does. Come up with your own ideas, look things up. That's how we extend our minds and our hearts.

um, if you wanna live in utter ignorance and contend with the plague every few years, sure, why not do away with inquiry and knowledge? in fact, let's go back to the scenario where earth is the center of the universe and the sun revolves around us. does that make you happy? in fact, let's destroy all books except for the bible and then we'll all be very familiar with the word of God. instead of doctors, we can go visit snakecharmers when we're sick. instead of psychiatrists, we can talk to Tom Cruise. Although without a copy of 'Dianetics' handy, how helpful is Tomcat gonna be? You were an alligator a couple of weeks ago, right?

“Yes, I killed innocent people for my government. And for what? I feel like I’ve had a hand in some sort of evil lie at the hands of our government. I just feel embarrassed, ashamed about it....I spend long hours speechless and looking at the wall, seeing nothing but images of dead Iraqis.” - Marine Sergeant Jimmy Massey

God says it through every language every expression every formation and every science upon this universe.

When you make a decision to exclude anything because of lack of fact then you begin to truncate the facts you do have to a opinion.

To think god did something or not is not a failing.. to prove god did not because Lack of fact is wrong.. Lack of facts means you cant prove it and that to say science in general seeks to edit out god in the process is abit pretentious.

Yes it happens People will judge..

but its foolish to stand behind science as a religion that is without god.. when with the same facts that exist in religious text provide the exact same amount of compelling truth in it as hard science does to prove or disprove god. I do not see incontrovertible proof there is not a god a single fact that states the progenitor of the big bang or anything of the sort since those are theory.

I don't think science discredits the Bible, or vice-versa. The Bible was not intended to be a science textbook. Yet some scientific discoveries have proven parts of the Bible true. Science is just our best attempt at understanding how the world works.

Depends on your standpoint - is the bible literal or metaphoric? Was 7 days "SEVEN DAYS" or was it a cave-person's interpretation of how it might have happened, despite all the scientific evidence that we now know to be contrary?

Does science rule out Jesus was a God? Yes. Does science rule out Jesus walking on water? Yes. Are they nice metaphorical stories? Sure. Is science specifically against the Bible? No, it's against *anything* that doesn't have supporting evidence.

Naturalism is one sided and incomplete for sure. However, that does not mean that it is incompatible with Christianity. In fact True Christianity can subsume the results of the natural sciences into a more complete picture of the cosmos.

technology isn't anti-faith. It seems on the international from a independent point of view with out presuppositions. in reality, God does not enter into it at any ingredient. Scientists are not out to coach that God does not exist, they're in simple terms learning how the universe, and each thing in it, operates. although, i visit trust you, nevertheless for various motives i'm particular, that the term "christian scientist" is an oxymoron. As on your final question, whose god are we conversing approximately? The Christian God? Krishna? Zeus? Odin? Which one are we meant to "base" our custom upon? i'm no longer attempting to be confrontational here. there's a ingredient to be made. The shape can provide for the separation of church and state for a reason.

It's not anti-Christ. Whether it is anti-Bible depends on your interpretation of the Bible.
