Why do men cheat? That is what I've been trying to figure out...I've had one mail tell me that it is because they get bored..what is your opinion?

Men cheat because it is in their nature to devide and conquer. If a woamn is willing they will go. Just remember when a man cheats on you it has nothing to do with you, its something that they feel they have to do, men are like children, they need to explore, no matter the cost. My father always tols me, you can't stop a man from being what he is, either he loves you and can resist temtation, or he can't, but its never because of you. you should take that adviice as well. Its made me a better person.

Many men cheat because they are unfulfilled sexually at home. They find a woman who will satisfy them in a way their own women won't or can't. I don't think this is morally right... but it's probably the major reason men cheat. By the way, there are a lot of women who get off on sleeping with married/taken men and satisfying them in ways their wives/girlfriends do not.... so women aren't all angels either.

Its not just men who cheat, women are just as guilty of it...who knows why anyone cheats, maybe they are not happy in the relationship and are too afraid to say something. Maybe they do get bored being with the same person, so they sneak around. Maybe its a thrill to be doing something they know is wrong...maybe its payback...who knows...but dont just blame men, women can be just as bad

Men cheat because their wives/ girlfriends stop giving them attention and start taking them for granted. The attention of which I am speaking is not just sexual, but also emotional. Men enjoy being appreciated, as we all do. When you REALLY listen to a man, without judging him; admire his finer qualities, instead of pointing out his flaws or annoying habits; laugh with him, instead of nag him; and don't make sex conditional, but steamy, exhausting, and inventive (just like you did in the early dating days); then, he will not --I repeat, NOT stray. I know--I was the mistress of a very fine man, who is now my husband. And, I am not worried about his fidelity. He is all mine.

Not all men cheat. Don't generalize.
But a significant amount do, and it shames me as a male...
All I know is that I would never cheat on my girlfriend, so, maybe there is hope for you, too.

It is a primal. To spread your seed & have kids. Women have a lot more at stake with reproduction.
That is why men cheat & women less so.

there is not ONE reason. Because they think they can. they can think they will get away with it. But mostly it is because they can rationalize it in their heads, that it has nothing to do about love, and they are not trying to hurt the other person, blah, blah , blah.... there isn't a good reason. if a man cheats...he is a loser.

It's a form of them getting away from the usual or not wanting to be nagged by woman in their life daily.

I'm sure there are a ton of factors, boredom being one, variety(the spice of life), and lack of intimacy from current girlfriend. The fact is its not worth pondering.

men just want sexual variety, so the best thing is become swingers, so you can both have variety and not cheat on each other
