You might have an overbite. Have you considered braces? Well, if you don't mind getting them, they can fix that problem for you and give you a perfect bite. It takes a lot of money and a couple of months, but it's worth it!

Your top teeth are supposed to sit a bit in front of your bottom teeth. If it's extremely noticeable and there's gaps in between your top and bottom teeth when you clench your jaw, then it's probably an overbite, which can be fixed with braces or a retainer.

How far over do they go? I mean, they SHOULD go over a little bit. It's only an overbite if you can stick your fingernail easily between your top and bottom teeth when they're completely closed (does that make sense?).

No, they never touch. Only when I move my mouth around I can feel my teeth touching them but hardly ever when they're just relaxed. I may have been touching together when I had an overbite but my braces corrected them. Hope that answers your question.

It is an overbite and yes it can be fixed. I have one but it is not severe enough for me to ever felt like it needed fixing. If it concerns you talk with your dentist and he'll usually refer you to a competent orthodontist.

Your teeth are supposed to do that. Just not to far over. Go see an orthodontist.
