Toys, and see what the airline regulations are for children. They may have a specific way of putting in booster/car seats and you'll want to check those out. Sippies, snacks, toys, and whatever else normally distracts them is always a good idea. Some books can do well, and if you can, let your daughter walk around a little. Try to keep as much of the same schedule as possible. Like put your daughter in her booster seat (or car seat, I don't know how big she is) when it's normally her nap time. If your daughter can get a window seat, let her have it and point stuff out through the windows. One of the coolest things I ever saw on a plane was a series of clouds that from the top looked like a cliff overlooking a lake.

Take along your husband if possible. Allow yourself plenty of time to get to the gate. Let your little ones play and get out their energy as much as you can. Take advantage of early boarding. That way you can get yourself organized without holding up other people. Your 7 month old may sleep for part of the trip. You can hold him in your lap or use a car seat. For your 2 year old, bring along coloring books and other small toys to keep her occupied. I usually buy a couple of new toys for a trip. You should also bring plenty of snacks and a couple of drinks for your 2 year old. I bring crackers, fruit snacks, pretzels, or cereal. Your daughter may need to walk the aisle when it is safe. Your son should nurse or take a bottle during take off and landing. This will help his ears. Take along plenty of diapers and a change of clothes for all of you. Bring along a couple of your son's favorite toys as well. If your husband is along, you can each take a child to entertain. Also, try using a portable DVD player. It kept my son occupied. Also, take your stroller along. You can use it and check it at the gate. They will give your stroller back at the plane when you land.
By the way, do not use NyQuil. The motion of the plane is often enough to get them to sleep for part or most of the trip.

Do you have a sling that you could carry your son in in case he wants to sleep? That would free up your hands. For my toddlers when we fly I always bring new books and toys so I know they won't get bored. Stickers keep them occupied for a long time. Also, maybe some Vitamin C snacks to chew when the cabin pressure increases? I don't use gum because mine eat it! I also bring little sandwich baggies with snacks that aren't messy like preztel sticks, big dry cereal like Honeycombs, and gummy worms.
A leap frog pad or speak n spell or some other electronic toy is good, as long as you can turn the volume down. You don't want to drive the other travelers crazy. LOL
Best of luck and have fun traveling!

I did the same thing. I took my 5 year old and my 2 year old to Florida from NY. I brought books and games and there legos. They didn't want to play or read books. The stewardess was great. She told us we could go in the back because the last seat had more room. They even took them up to the pilot and he gave them both wing pins. It was a great trip. The stewardess also gave them things to eat and drink.

I can't stand people who feel they have to fly with kids and burden the rest of us flyers. MOst everyone really loath kids in planes and movie theaters.
Try children's ny quill...I mean I'm sure as a wiccan you should have some kind of potion or HERB to knock out the little stinkers.

Chewing gum helps deal with the altitude changes, to keep everyone from being too uncomforable. Also bring snacks and things for the kiddies to do.

invest in pacifiers. They will need them for the pressure upon ascent. bottles of juice and water are helpful as well. You might want to give them some Tylenol just prior to boarding. Also discuss the flight with the pediatrician, he/she might be able to help you.
