This has nothing to do with Wicca. In Alcoholics Anonymous they tell newcomers if they don't have a higher power they can worship a door knob.

Shoemaker said you could understand and know God by following Jesus Christ's suggestion in John 7:17 by conducting an "experiment of faith." Once AAs abandoned the Bible, the discussions of the Creator, and their reliance on coming to God through His Son, they began to lose understanding of God. They began talking of a higher power which could be a group, a lightbulb, a door knob, a chair, and nonsense which could not be found in early A.A. nor in the literature early AAs read.

Religious people worship all sorts of rubbish.
All religions are just fantasy or mythology or cults, call it whatever you wish. The main religions also have magic tricks which are called miracles in Christianity.
Christians are below average intelligence and tend to be very gullible, that's why when a fence pole or a cheese sandwich has an imprint that looks like a religious face, such as Our Lady, millions will flock to the spot and worship. It's also known as sheep to the slaughter syndrome.
Just watch what happens when another magic trick occurs, for example, the fence pole or cheese sandwich image starts to weep. Just watch how the flock of followers behave. People find it hard to accept reality so escape into fantasy and that’s what religion satisfies. Miracles are all in the mind and are nothing more than trickery. They'd worship a door knob if they thought it had religious connections.

No, but I've cursed a few.
They're just at that right level sometimes.
But, what' you're talking about with AA, they're probably suggesting you pick some idiot AKA "door knob" to worship. It could be considered an insult, since they're suggesting an idiot is a higher power to you. But maybe they are, when you're intoxicated.

Never but I have heard of others doing it.you know they never get answers or healed or grow spiritually, they are the same or even worse then they were before. I have heard of one person who worshiped a water glass but he too has never gotten any answers. Then there was the person who worshiped his tree,he hugged it everyday one day his high power died in a fire and he no more higher power his god was dead, and he died too of what doctors said was a broken heart.

Nope. Most unusual higher power: Lady in NA worshipped her cat's ***. Least that is what she said at meetings.
