im 11 and my doctor said my period will come in the next year? what should i do to get ready for it??my cousin just go hers and she says it isn't comfortable and she hates it! I'm worried that when school starts i will get it there! and i usually don't carry money to buy a pad at the adult bathroom! so back to my question...what should i do?

Start bringing a purse to school ALWAYS keep some pads in your purse. Tylenol usually helps cramps. It wont be regular for the first one or two years, but don't worry. Chill.
Don't wear white pants! Wear jeans but not like cloth cuz sometimes it will show.

if you have a locker at school, i'd stash a couple of pads in there, if not your backpack. that way, you dont need to worry and if a friend ever needed one you'd save her day. and dont worry about it so much, it CAN be a little painful and uncomfortable, but after a few months you'll get used to it. I know because i panicked when i first got mine, thinking my life was over lol but after a while it just became a routine. its really no biggie now, other than the occasional cramps, i got used to it quickly. it happens to all of us, it's just a part of being a girl. if you have any more questions i suggest you talk to your mom or someone you trust.

Well sweetheart, the best thing you can do is talk to your mum. Failing that carry some protection around with you in your bag. Wrap it up well so no-one knows what it is and to keep it safe.
I wouldnt worry too much about what it is like. Everyones experiences are different.
I'm a male and although I dont know that much about having periods I can tell you having to shave every day is boring.

carry toilet paper with you to school in your packpac...so that is you get yours...well go to the restroom and put it in.

wear white pants, b/c on you period if you leak it wont be noticeable
