I found out my boyfriend suffers from Traumatic Masturbatory Syndrome which means that he masturbates facing down pushing his penis into his hand instead of facing up. If any one has information on how he can cure this and learn how to masturbate the correct way it would help a lot because i read that what he does is not normal and its bad.

I agree with most of the other responses. If you are there, simply help him out! It's easier and much more exciting for him and maybe you too!

According to proponents of the existence of TMS, TMS in males is characterized as sexual dysfunction caused by masturbating in the prone position by thrusting the penis against bedding, mattress, pillow, the hand, or even the floor. Practitioners masturbate this way because that's how they learned to masturbate as adolescents, or younger. Both circumcised and uncircumcised males have developed TMS.

The question of whether TMS causes physical damage was not addressed by Sank, although Sank's patients were cured of their sexual dysfunction merely by quitting prone masturbation and learning to masturbate on their backs (supine) with their hands, which has also been the experience of males in an online support group. According to published Sex research by Wardell Pomeroy and others, this is the primary way approximately 90 percent of males masturbate.

I had no idea that doing it against bedding was bad, but I guess it is. You learn something every day, you know. Good luck!

Here's some stuff from wikipedia:
"""
Lawrence I. Sank (1998) speculated that the habit of masturbating prone (i.e. lying face downward) was responsible for serious sexual problems, including anorgasmia and erectile dysfunction, as suffered by four men he examined. He coined the term traumatic masturbatory syndrome to describe the effect. As of 2006 there has been no follow-up research and the idea that prone masturbation causes male sexual dysfunction is not familiar or widely-held within the medical community, and thus should not be credited as such until further research.

Some sources, however, continue to give credence to the idea. One sex therapist (Margolies, 1994) has condemned masturbation by rubbing against a pillow or mattress and Lipsith et al (2003) suggest that masturbation could play a part in male psychogenic sexual dysfunction (MPSD), citing Sank as their authority.

Did you just make that up? you mean there's a right and wrong way to rub one out?? Great, now I'm traumatized. I'll never be able to touch myself again.

Thanks, thanks a WHOLE BUNCH!!

Before I go gather the remains of My shattered life. Just do it for him, that way he won't have to do it himself.
