I started taking the mini pill about 10 or 11 months ago. I started my period when my daughter was less than 1 month old and I didn't want to take the chance of getting pregnant again right away. I stopped taking it about 2 months ago, and have not had sex since but I still haven't started my period. Is this normal???

I would say yes, your body is used to the hormones, and when you take that away your cycle can change. If you haven't been having sex, you don't have to worry about pregnancy, if your cycle doesn't start for a month or two, I'd call your doc, and see what they say. My guess, probably nothing to worry about. Good luck!

I started the mini pill at 6 weeks. You have to be very sure that you take it at the same time every day. I stopped taking it just about 3 months ago(my son is 22 months) and It took about a weeks for my period to start. Since then...they have been very heavy periods. Are you atill breastfeeding?? That may be the delay as well

I no longer take birth control due to a hysterectomy, however while i was taking birth control i stopped after being on it for about 5 years. When i spoke with my Dr. about stopping the birth control to have my first child she warned me that it would take anywhere from 2-6 months for the hormones to completely leave my system. She also said it could be several months before i had a period. I think what your experiencing is very normal. However you can always call and talk to a nurse at your Dr's office to be sure.

Yes, it's very normal. These kind of pills always change your period. Just wait a while. If you continue to not get it after about a month, THEN I suggest you go to the doctor.

birth control pills are a hormone.
it mimics pregnancy for a certain amount of days and then you take the pills without the hormone and your body flushes the lining.
the most likely reason that you have this problem is your body is confused hormonally.
go to your gyno, doc will help you.
