My friend who lives a long way away from me has lost her dog, she ran away one night and they have been looking for her loads
can anyone give me some tips to help find her dog?

Make Flyers. Try to include a picture of the missing pet. Remember to include othe rvital info. Anothe rthing you could do is alert shelters. Tell them waht the dog looks like, and if they see it, they'll call. bUt, the most effective thing, is to put ads in the local newspapers. They really work! Good Luck!

Print out posters including a picture of the dog, the dogs name, age and the friends contact details.
Where the dog was last seen and when it went missing.
Ask at shops etc if you can place the poster in their window.
Contact radio stations that have a lost and found segment.
Contact your shires/pounds to see if the dog is already found and sitting there waiting to be picked up.
I hope your friend finds her dog, it can be very upsetting.

I'm sorry to hear that. Try making flyers with the dog's description and its picture and posting them wherever you can. Hand the flyers out, call everyone you know, and drive around your town looking for the dog. Do this as much as possible.

When I lost my dog, I called the dog pound! AND he was there!! I'd suggest checking there, asking around, putting up posters on lamposts, leaving messages in shops,etc. Obviously leave your contact details on there in case they recognise the photo of your friend's dog!

It must be so hard on your friend try to dog's description and its picture and post it on the net also call pet shelters in her area and fax them the dog description.
I hope you find her dog soon.

try to put some flyers up and look around the town. one person i know who lost their dog put a cage out to catch it in and she cought it.
