I have had the best experience feeding my dogs Eukanuba, but the dog food that you choose really depends on the breed, size, and expected physical activity. I own a kennel that focuses on American Pitbull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers, and Eukanuba is a great weight and muscle building formula in my opinion. However this can back fire if you do not exercise your dog properly, and they could become overweight. ( I use the large breed puppy formula/lamb and rice)
Also Eukanuba and other brands of the that nature, can also be pretty costly (around $40.00 for a large bag!) so I would recommend Pedigree also. It is as good as lets say, Science Diet, but it is 1/2 the cost, at less than $20.00 for a large 44.5 lb. bag.
Any more ? I would need to know more about your dog! You can e-mail your ?'s to pitbullluvr11@yahoo.com

I dont really know about Natural Choice, but Science Diet and Eukanuba are HORRIBLE FOODS!!! Just look at the label! Some Eukanuba has Ethoxyquin in it, which is known to cause cancer! Go to http://www.api4animals.org/facts.php?p=359&more=1 and read this report about what is really in commercial pet food. If you want your dog to have a great food try Canidae (great food at about the same price as many commercial brands) Natural Balance, California Natural, Evolve, Nature's Variety...or a good Raw Diet. The time has come for pet owners to stop poisoning thier animals!

None of them. Science diet is loaded with junk like corn and by-products. Eukanuba is a subsidiary of Iams - who conduct cruel animal experiments to test their products. Natural Choice is a little better, but it still doesn't do it for me. This would probably be the least offensive to me, but I still wouldn't feed it to my dog.
I prefer products that use human grade meats and ingredients, and whole foods at that. Natural Balance is my personal choice - they have it at most higher end pet food stores and some PetCo's carry it as well. My dog has the most beautiful coat - we get asked all the time what we feed her and how we keep her in such good shape!

I agree with some of the other posters: None of them!
Iams/Eukanuba (same company) still test on animals. Don't support this.
Science Diet has been linked to cancer in animals. It's crap. Hill's Prescription Diets are still recommended for those pets with special needs, otherwise don't waste your money.
Good brands that don't contain euthanized pets, plastic wrap and floor sweepings...Natural Balance, Innova & Evo, Solid Gold, Wellness, Canidae. Kirkland actually rates very well and is quite affordable.

Iams and Eukanuba are renowned for testing on animals ( and we're not talking taste testing), I don't know Natural Choice but I do know Science Diet, it's recommended by many vets, and actually tastes like real food. Many othes just taste like cardboard.

Natural Choice by far is the best on that list, my boys eat large breed, my little girl gets large breed puppy and the cats are on complete. Iams and Eukanauba are one in the same not as good as Natural choice, but ok, priced about the same. Science Diet has gotten so big name wise and their food has gone down the hole, they even jacked their prices up again, i know a few people who use to feed it and their dogs had skin and coat problems and when they went to their vet they were told to buy prescription stuff when they brought they label to me it wasn't much different then the crap on the shelf at the store, so in my mind their food isn't any better the pedigree or ole'roy. YUCK!!

We were a Science Diet family for years, but our dog developed allergies to some of the more common dog food ingredients, and she's been on Pro Plan Sensitive Formula ever since. Best bet would be to see what your vet recommends.

Science Diet--hands down.
Formulated by Vets, recommended by Vets, and loved by my two Jack Russells =) They've got a blend specifically formulated for just about every stage of a dog's life, and some that are for preference (i.e., lamb & rice formula). They use real meat in their foods, no by-products. Once you feed it to your dogs, you'll never go back.
My only complaint about Science Diet is that it makes my dogs' poop a little more potent-smelling than normal.... although that's not a problem since they're housebroken. But still... at least they don't have the "loose poos"..

None of the above!
Our pets need quality pet food. Read the ingredients list and learn what the stuff on there is and what it does (or does not do) to/for our pets. A quick pet food 101. If the pet food contains corn/corn products or by products it is a poor quality food. Do not pay attention to advertising, they all say there food is great. Corn is a filler that can trigger skin problems. (allergies, skin problems, itching and excessive shedding) By products is anything from an animal not fit for human consumption, including cancerous tissue. Quality foods have meat as the first ingredient. California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick are a few of the best brands available.
