If you don't like the dating services maybe you can meet someone decent through some good friends. It's extremely difficult after becoming single to get back up on that horse again. The thought that you are interested enough to want to try is a good sign. Their's no reason for you to become a hermit just because you have children. A few things you should remember is not to introduce the children to quickly. The point is that the gentleman is aware you have them. If the man you meet seems respectful, and decent check him out. (Amber Frey). Never have a stranger to close to your children because they get hurt too. I wish you luck, and remember don't settle for just anything. You have worth too.

superbordom is right, be yourself, and be open to meeting new friends, be on the lookout for guys looking and taking an interest in you. if you see a guy you like the look of that you think you could be friends or more with offer him a card with your especially set up email, Instant message and or phone number on it and of course your first name. and ask for his name and contact details.
Now just sit back and wait for him to contact you. or give it a day and then contact him and arrange a date. find a sitter for the kids, get ready and go have a great time, remember to let someone know where you will be and with whom you will be with just in case the worst happens and he turns out to be a monster. unlikely but always a remote possibility in this day and age.
rememer too that you can and will see guys everywhere you go, so always be ready to flash a smile a wink and your contact details. where ever you happen to be, the grocery store, in a cafe or clothes store at the office anywhere. remember that guys in pubs and clubs are generaly there looking for short term flings. so i would not reccomend going to these kinds of places.
Alternatively try using a dating website like www.match.com, or www.udate.com to name two that spring to mind.
how about posting apicture profile on www.hotornot.com with a contact me profile. see what response you get.

To get the ball rolling, why not goto a bar. But if you want something real try some sort of cliub that interests, also take a dancing class of some sort.

But you have a boyfriend. Take it slow if you want to date. Just dinner once in a while. No need to rush. You have 3 little girls to take care of.

Find some good local organizations to do with the kids. I.E. baseball cheerleading and start interneting and making friends .
