Couple of suggestions: #1 try drinking fruit juice mixed with sparkling water...you get the carbonation of soda plus the sweetness of the fruit juice and the added satisfaction of knowing it is good for you. #2 Get one of the large water bottles with a center core that you put in the freezer (try Walmart), and fill with water and pour a packet of single serve tea or fruit drink into it. #3 Everytime you don't give in to the craving, put 75 cents into a jar and before you know it you will have a nice chunk of change to buy yourself something nice!

My experience has been that if you have a bad craving and don't indulge every now and then, you will eat and drink everything else (which can be worse) . For example, I had a craving for pizza, but I denied myself. I found my self eating chocolate, and french fries and other crap. Once I had the pizza, I was able to get rid of my cravings.
If you must, mix diet soda with the regular stuff. You get half of the calories that way.

Have a designated cheat day. If you stay with your diet 85% of the time, you can reward yourself with the food that you crave on that cheat day. That way it is much easier to turn your good eating habits into a way of life, rather then a yo-yo dieting. Nobody is perfect all the time and having a soda, or whatever food you crave once a weak is not going to harm your progress.

Go to Walmart and buy the Sam's flavored soda's with 0 calories. They taste good, fulfill your craving for soda, and have no calories!
If the craving is something else like bread or cake. Try eating just one bite. Even better, make it a bite of a friend or spouse's sandwich or dessert. Then you know you won't be able to eat the rest. Also, it will satisfy your appetite with the taste and you won't binge later.

Try sipping on ice tea with splenda through the day, it helps me get rid of my craving for regular soda. Then at least once a week I let myself indulge a little and have a coke.

First of all don't buy anymore. Second pour a flavor you hate over it. If you hate hot and spicy pour hot sauce into your soda beofre drinking or pour hot sauce over your wheat.

Just don't let yourself think about it. If you dwell on the fact that you're missing out on it you will eventually give in. If you find something else you like instead that will make it even easier.
