Good question, but people saying Yeshua is "translated" to Jesus is wrong... Yeshua is Joshua, the J is pronounced like a Spanish person would. I do know Chist means "the annointed one" though.

Why do my dutch/brazilian/chinese friends each pronounce my name completely differently? Why is the country Bharat referred to as India in English? Language is like that. Yeshua knows who you're referring to when you say the name Jesus, so does the enemy.

it depends on the language..for example: GOD,The Jews call Him Jehovah. If you could understand Hebrew, you would probably call Him Jehovah too. If you could understand Arabic, you would probably call Him Allah....

and well like John is also Sean and Yahya "in Arabic"

now as for jesus, his name in Arabic is Eeesa.and in Latin Yashua. however i may have to make sure of that becuase i think Yashua is actually another person , not jesus, bottom line is, that its a matter of tongue "language"

Jesus has many names and if you would read the Bible slowly you will see those names.
I'm not saying this to offend anyone, cause it took me several times to notice the various names.

You have a VERY GOOD Point.

I do accept the pronunciation ==JESUS
BUT
It certainly would be better as

YESUS.

No J on Hebrew, No J in Ancient Roman ( now called Latin).

Because we've transliterated the Greek into English. We're not speaking Aramaic, but English.
