Suppose you are out on the highway and have to go, and you pull off the road and find a tree out of public view--is that legal or not? If not, what is a person supposed to do in order to be legal?

sorry, but its still illegal. In Texas, it would be a misdemeaner charge of urinating in public. Indecent exposure is where you expose your genitals for sexual arousement of yourself or others.
Only way to make it legal, find a bathroom

In the strict application of the law, it is not legal because the act must be done in the proper place. Local ordinances provide for the proper disposal of wastes. Nevertheless, due to the distance of the comfort rooms in the highway, you can cite an excuse for this irregularity since it is a call of nature.

Is it ever ok? You bet. Is it illegal? You bet, its called lewdness. Would a Trooper cite you? Maybe - get a lot of drunks off the road that way. Somthing to do with drinking alot of beer that makes you need to go pee..... hmmmmmm am I on to somthing here?

ITS not legal. Peeing in coffee pots at hotels is not legal either,but there is none coffee drinkers that do that cuz they are to lazy to get out of bed & go to the bathroom,so if you are a coffee drinker like me avoid the none smoking rooms coffee pots.

Dude next time sucking down a one liter coke keep bottle. Then if occasion arrises you can whip it out pee in bottle cap it off and throw away. I have done it sitting in traffic at a red light. no one around me had a clue!!!!!!!!!

You bet ya!! I got like four grandsons, we take them to the beach every year..... We have pulled over and let ALL of them pee!! LOOKS LIKE THE RIVER JORDAN!!! they are ages 14 to 8
