Thinner than pancakes but thicker than crepes. I ate them a long time ago and can't remember their name.

Swedish Pancakes?

they are definitely not Crèpes, but they are lighter and more digestible.
A commercially. boxed pancake mix to me is way too thick and heavy. even if it looks fluffy.the batter does run and not just clump in place.
You may have to experiment to prevent them from sticking to the pan
and being unfippable without leaving half the pancake behind. There is one recipe that works fairly.well an flips cleanly: It s on all recipes.com
simply called Maple Pancakes by Mary Colbath. Only 100% pure maple
is maple syrup. Read your labels.

Swedish pancakes!

Some other names for varieties of pancakes are: hotcakes, griddlecakes, flapjacks, drop-scones, pikelets, crepes, palatschinken, blintses (or blini), galettes..

I have a feeling you are talking about blintses. They are an Eastern European treat, and commonly available in Russian districts in large American cities (so, if you are in New York, for example, you can easily buy them on Brighton Beach).

I only know of a crepe and a pancake. Not sure what would be in between.

My first reaction was crepes. But I have had Swedish pancakes, which are like a chewy crepe. Other than that, I don't know what you're talking about.
