Both my miniature poodle bitches 'humped'. My last one would sit on a football and hump away and my puppy tries her best to get on anyones out-stretched leg...

All dogs have varying sexual desires. The most effective (and radical) way of curbing this is by sterilizing your dogs. Other than that, if they are still young, you can change their behaviour - replacement therapy ie instead of humping someones leg, you push her away, and with a stern voice say NO! Then you present her with a teddybear or a soft toy that is about her size. Keep the teddybear at close quarters that she can see it. In a while, after the constant NO! from you, she will seek out the teddybear to hump instead. Hope that helps.

Were they unsterilized after their first or second heat cycle?
Humping is not necessarilly a dominance issue, it can also be a sexual one.

Females can react much the same way as males do when another dog is coming into heat.
My now sterilized female will still hump the other unsterilized female when she is in heat, a habit learned that I am unable to stop.

If you want to try, you could use training techniques to discourage it.

At least yours are mini's. Are they spayed? I have a female German Shepherd that likes to hump stuffed animals and people. We bought her big stuffed animals so she would stop humping people. It is perfectly normal. But if they're not spayed, they will go into heat, start their period, and roam for a male dog. But if they are, it is normal, don't worry.

Even spayed females will hump boy dogs. It is a dominance issue. It is a normal canine behavior, although if she isn't spayed I suggest you do so. It will prevent you from adding to the overwhelming pet overpopulation and it may calm her down a bit.

Because maybe they can feel stuff by those actions like human women would...

Just keep doing what you can to discipline them maybe. I'm glad our dog (male) has never done much of that other then with his own bedding in his crate...ew. I don't care what species, some things should be left to your own privacy! lol

I guess it's just how dogs are.

I once heard about a big dog that tried, on many occasions, to hump a smaller dogs ear.

"Dogs do the strangest things".

Dogs hump to show dominance. It is not uncommon for female dogs to hump each other to determine who is lead dog.

I am really intersted in finding this out too. I had a female sheltie. She started humping my leg on day...so weird.

My dog humped her son, I still don't know why she did it. But he's dead now, he died from Parvo.

Perhaps they were neutered too young or before they went through their first heat. My parent's Minature Pinscher does the same thing and they linked it to the age she was neutered at... and that she hadn't gone through her first heat or she was going through it when they neutered her. (neutered or spade... I can never remember which belongs to which.)
