Hartford Insurance also insures log homes. If you are an AARP member, you can apply for that program. Otherwise, you'll have to find a local agent to see if they can write it for you.

I think any of the major insurers should treat a log house just like any other home as long as it was safe and permitted according to local building codes and standards.

I would think most would cover it as homeowners/property insurance because it could be considered as your home/residence.
