If I had 5K or 15K or 30K , I'd much rather keep it all for a really nice vacation/honeymoon than blow it all on a wedding. And I'm even more practical than that.. I'd spend it on a down on a home. And actually that's what I did. Actually I spent all my money on the down on a home about six months before we got married.. that way we didn't blow it on a wedding and then have nothing to speak of to our names except for some photos.
Bbbuuuuttt.. that's coz I'm a man. Men are bit more practical (typically) than women. Women are more likely to be more emotional.. it's the most "special day" of their lives.
TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION: It's not a fair question, coz every woman is unique and different. Many have visions of a wedding with 200+ people. However, others would rather have two people stand for them and be done with it. Others would rather have the justice of the courts do it and save a load of cash.
But if you did a poll., I'd bet 85% would prefer NOT to get married in a courthouse. And I'd bet that only about 10% of men would care - they'd rather save the money.

Some women will be upset no matter what happens in any situation. A rational woman would not be upset if she got married in a courthouse. She did not have to do that she obviously choose to do it. If she's real smart she'll realize that she saved several thousands of dollars.

it was my own choice to get married at the courthouse. I think weddings are way to expensive (rather save the money for they honeymoon) and honestly, i hated the thought of everyone looking at me walking down the isle. i would probably have a heart attack. i don't regret it one bit!

I wouldn't marry a man that way. I do NOT advocate going into debt to get married, but there are ways to do it to make it special and not spend a fortune. A courthouse marriage is not special.

Hell, that would be my dream marriage. Courthouse and don't have to dress up for people that I don't know and some I don't like.

I married for the first time in a court house. This time 15 years ago was in a small quaint little church. Very inexpensive and much more memorable.

Not if she is really in love. I love a man so much that I'd marry him ANYWHERE! The important thing is I get to be with him forever (however long that is!)
Good luck!
