Don't stop the pills. You are fed up taking them 'cos you are doing alright at the moment. As soon as you stop all the old symptoms will come back. Depression can be helped by establishing if you have a food allergy or intolerence but psycosis needs real medical assistance. So, keep taking those tablets. If you are really determined to come off medication see your doctor for advice first.

Please don't take marajuana. I'm not anti the drug but for some types of depression it can really agrevate it, and without knowing more about your condition I would avoid it. I know people who take it for other things and that is their choice, however it is not something you should mix with mental problems as I have seen two friends end up seriously ill (one dead,) as it made there problems worse.
I am not a fan of pills, but I do know that when I start on the downward fall into a bad place, I often stop taking my pills as my brain is telling me it is what is making me worse, it is ok, I'll be fine, that they are only suppressing me, not helping me. However often it only greases the slide down if I stop taking them.
Find someone you can trust, either your doctor, social worker if you have one or maybe councillor? Someone who can give you more constructive and informed advice than we can.
Take care and be safe.

Check the Human Givens approach. It suggests that a person with Psychosis can live a good quality of life without medication, as long as their 'Givens' are met. In theory it seems plausible, but would require a lot of support and careful monitoring. Whatever you choose to do, be careful coming of your medication. Some medication will lose efficacy if stopped, and may not work for you again should you need it. Make sure your family and friends are aware of your choice, as they are most likely to identify any changes in your behaviour. Good luck!! xXx

Hello There.
If you take your medicine regularly as your Doc. has advised you, then you will find your health soon.
In the same time, keep your happiness, go out doors with you friends, laugh as much as you can, take good lunch and do sports of every kind that you like at least 1-2 hours a day and when you are at home, listen a very calm and good music. Adjust your bed time carefully & sleep well least 8-10 hours at nights.
I pray for your health. Be happy 4 ever.

Have you talked to your doctor or a different doctor? Look around there may be a Psychologist that specializes in alternative medicines as well as the pharmaceutical methods. I understand that it is hard to have to take lots of pills... Maybe a new doctor can find a newer medication that works better and replaces a few of your old medications.
hope i helped
Blessed be

Dont stop the medication just yet. What you do need to start taking though are fish oil capsules (Boots etc).
These capsules contain EFAs. Essential Fatty Acids. These are what the brain is made of and without enough you become unstable, depressed, have a low IQ etc etc. Tons of research have been done on them. Google it if you want to see for yourself!!
Good luck!! xxx

There are ways for depression - yea like exercise but not with the psychosis - may I ask what meds you are on because it should not take so many pills since so many of them are made for such a wide range - what are your diagnoses?

St johns wart.
My mother took anti depressants, they mask a problem by making you emotionally numb. There are many other homoeopathic and natural remedies.
My advice find whats bothering you (counselling) and address the problem. I find if you realise that everyone has problems and some are far worse than others, problems don't seem so bad. Life is beautiful gift.
