I started using contact lenses a month ago, and I use Acuvue Oasys contact lenses. I tried Acuvue Advance 2 first, but my eyes felt extremely dry with that type of lens, so I switched to Oasys. However, my eyes are still dry at times (although not as much with the Advance 2), and I can still feel the lenses in my eyes with a little irritation. I've tried Opti-free Rewetting Drops, but the comfort these drops offer doesn't last very long. I'm looking for answers derived from research and personal experience.

Optifree just started making a contact lens solution to help retain moisture. I haven't tried it but optifree soluitions are usually very good. I would go to their site and you can print off a coupon for it.

I am also a contact lens wearer that occasionally suffers from dry eyes. I would also recommend finding a drop for dry eye - not just for contact lenses (rewetting drops). Look for drops that are preservative free - the preservatives can be absorbed by contact lenses and ruin them. Systane, refresh, and genteal are all companies that make really good drops, just be sure you buy ones without preservatives. good luck

I were given RGP lenses over 2 years in the past, and now i don't comprehend what i ought to do without 'em. They felt slightly strange in the starting up, yet now they're as mushy as should be. I sparkling 'em contained in the morning, moist 'em, and placed on 'em all day. they purely harm in case you get dirt or dirt on your eyes... the great element about RGP lenses is you should use them as a lot as about 5 years, see you later as you're taking care of them. mushy lenses do not very last virtually as lengthy... in any case, sturdy luck including your contacts. keep the rewetting answer reachable... Your lenses could sense like they're not even there ultimately. :)
