To me, it'd probably have to be the story of Noah's Ark. I mean, think about it. Noah collected two of every animal in the world? There are several million species of beetle alone. Add in every single other species of animal in the world, and you're going to need a boat several hundrid times bigger than anything we could possibly make today. And how did he keep these animals alive? Many animals are very fragile and need specific foods and living conditions, or they'll die. Did each species of animal have it's own climate controled living pen, as well as enough of it's specific food to keep it alive for 40 days and 40 nights? Where did the millions of pounds of animal dung go?
And I'm not even going to go into the complete impossibility of a flood that covered the entire world so that even the tallest mountains were underwater. I think you all get the idea.

So which Bible story is most unbelieveable to you? Please don't just say "God existing," that's too easy.

Well, laeners, I guess it's a good thing I'm not Christian then, eh? I don't have to force myself to believe in nonsense. :D

As far as being completely magical, I'd say Genesis. As far as being inconsistent with EVERYTHING WE OBSERVE IN THE UNIVERSE, still Genesis.

I think you need to go to a good Bible study class to properly understand what you are talking about when it comes to the Bible.

You are talking about something God wanted to happen and if God is involved, obviously, it is something that is special. He didn't expect Noah to do all of this on his own, under his own human power. If that were the case, it wouldv'e never takeen place.

Next, you completely did not understand that the entire earth was not covered, most think a portion was covered. Certainly, again, not impossible with God involved.

So, if anything is unbelieveable, it is that you think you have completely figured out this story of Noah, when in fact you haven't done so correctly.

We make fools of ourselves when we don't really know the Bible and then try to bash it in some way. "Nothing is impossible with God", do you know that verse?????

Never read, but of course have heard about all kinds of the stuff in it... BUT I have to agree with you, that is what my answer was going to be.

Yes, sure...the whole world flooded...yeah, maybe it was a bit of history and there was a big flood in the region the writer lived, but they only knew the world to be as far as they saw it. They had no clue the REST of the world existed... And as you pointed out, the earth didn't and doesn't have enough water to flood that deep.

Two of each kind of animal? There are too many animals to fit...and how do they exist now if inbreeding would have deteriorated the species afterward. Same with people, I guess we're all supposed to be inbred now?

actually the bible flood is fairly factial, there are digs in the middle east that have found flood lawyers in what would have been all the known world at the time. Remember to the writer, who was retelling the story told to him and retold, it was the entire world ( since they did not know of any other world)

So the fact that a major flood happened in that region is really a fact. So a rich man using 1000's of servants or slaves buidling a giant boat over yars and collection the animals in the region ( a much smaller number)

The most unbelievable story in the Bible? Where do you want to start?

Narrowing it down from all the records of miracles in the Bible (including the survival of Noah, his family, the ark and the animals on it for nearly half a year -- it took time for the water to recede from forty consecutive days and nights of rainfall, check out the story in Genesis), I'd have to say the most unbelievable, the most astounding, the most mind-blowing story in the Bible is that of Jesus.

How two thousand years ago historical events were just right for one person, Jesus the Son of God, to be born to a virgin and eventually fulfill nearly 1500 years of prophecy (the rough span of the Biblical writers of the Old Testament) and minister, die for the sins of the world which even God turned His back on (God and sin can't dwell in each others' presence), and rise from the grave on the third day to show us all, even two thousand years later because we're still dealing with sin -- separation from God -- the possibility of forgiveness through Him and renewed fellowship with God. When we ask Jesus into our lives, He's promised us a mansion, He's promised us eternity with Him. In prophecy to the letter, THAT'S the most unbelievable story I've ever heard.

But that doesn't stop me from believing and acting on that belief. Nor has it stopped people for the last two thousand years, nor will it for two thousand more to infinity.

I always thought Noah but recent studies showed that it is factually correct - only he didn't literally take 2 of each species but DNA Samples...his Ark was a well equipped laboratory.

The world didn't flood - only Noah's world. His home was built in a dry river bed.

Furthermore, Noah loved his spirits - hence the confusion about 40 days. What is meant by that is that he was dry for 40 days before he started drinking again.

The stories in the bible are miraculous and hard to believe, but if you're Christian, you just have to forget about science and believe that anything is possible with the Lord. Science and faith are ALWAYS contradicting each other because science has no faith, forgiveness, or love like God or Jesus does.
Science is just a bunch of facts some guy managed to prove in a long shot. Religion is something that you have to choose to believe and accept, and follow until the end.

between the justifications why maximum of of the thoughts interior the Bible are astounding is using the fact the thoughts are symbolic of a thoroughly distinctive meaning or they have been adapted from older non Juedeo Christian concept structures. For me, between the main unbelievable ones is the story of Cain and in a position. whilst Cain left his kinfolk it says he went and took a spouse of the persons of Nod. If Adam and Eve have been the 1st, then the place did those human beings come from? advantages,

the bible has some pretty fantastical stuff because, well, alot of it is allegory and metaphor. I hate to answer in a way that's not directly related to your question, but I find the most unbelievable story to be the one that says the bible is the word of god. The people who wrote it have shown their ideas have the same infallibilities as the rest of us, and so I find it difficult to believe the words of imperfect beings are the words of god.

All the ones involving god and miracles are equally unbelievable. Some are just funnier than others.

I like the one in 2 Kings 2, where Elisha summons some bears to shred up a bunch of boys who insulted him.

I'd agree with Noah's Ark. Logistically it's impossible, especially considering that the dimensions were given in the Bible.
