It will your hair more crimp-ish looking and frizzy. Not a good look.

If I were you I would get a large-barreled curling iron (not the skinny ones, the fat ones). Those should give you nice waves. =] Also get a product to give you "beachy" hair b/c that gives you nice waves.

Here is a video on how to get "beachy" waves. Just choose what fits for you from the dropdown menus and click "submit":

Here is a video on how to get nice, bouncy waves too. Just choose your video/computer type:

Good luck! =]

i wouldnt recommend making quite that many braids...your hair will just wind up being extremely frizzy. And plus, that would wind up giving really small waves all over. Maybe if you just try 2 braids or so, you will get better results. Or if you dont mind looking odd for a bit, you could try some of those big hair curler/roller things.

i usually have luck when i french braid my hair while it is still wet and sleep on it. Then in the morning, after i shower, i take out the braid and use some gel and rusk sheer brilliance. It works amazing every time!

smaller braids work. my tip is to braid your hair right when you get out of the shower and then sleep with them in over night. that usually woks pretty well. the smaller and more waves you want the smaller the braids. hope that helps!
