Lots of bone cancer patients will have chemo, but I am wondering if you mean blood cancer since you stated the transplant option. Transplants can be used in a variety of situations now, but almost all of them also use chemo as part of the conditioning.

There are different protocols depending on the type of cancer. My son has bone cancer, osteosarcoma. He had limb salvage surgery and is currently going through chemotherapy.
