Get natural highlights - go with something subtly noticeable. Try to go within two shades of your hair color. Summer is coming to an end so maybe you should get auburn highlights or darker, richer highlights for fall and winter instead of blonde. Also, talk to your stylist and ask her what she thinks.

bring in a photo of you when you were young (2-3 yrs. old) and your hair was naturally highlighted by the sun - have your hairdresser match the shade of those highlights

Get a shade a tad lighter than your natural hair colour - I think it looks brill. Go for it!

Blonde and the color of your hair as lowlights. That way when it grows out a bit, it will look good until you get it touched up

Maybe you can photograph yourself with a digital camera & use a graphics program to try different colours in your hair so you can see what they look like?

Why dont you get caramel and lighter blondes and brown's in, this look will be good for summer and I think it looks loveley, my hair is caremel just on top of my head and brown (my natural colour) under. it cost alot in uk for high light;s. hope is looks fab good luck x

It all depends on the colour you start with, light brown looks in blond, red, black or a purply colour looks good in brown or black and a darker red looks good in red.

If you have medium brown hair, caramel highlights look great!

well if your hair is dark then you should get light highlights. but if you have light hair then you should get dark highlights. so either way people can see them.
