bag as in suitcase or bag as in grocery?

For suitcases, it pays to roll your clothes instead of fold for less wrinkles. Heavier stuff on bottom. Use that special zipper compartment for sox and undies.

For groceries, pack all frozen and fridge stuff together. Don't put cleansers in same bag as food.

I always travel light & buy additional stuff on the trip, like shower gel, shampoo, underwear, extra shoes/sandals. Plus I roll all clothes instead of folding them.

I make everything as flat as possible. To make more room put socks and undies in your shoes. Put shoes in plastic grocery bags so they don't get your clothes dirty. Tuck small items in every nook and crany.
