I get that a lot, and I want to enhance my own explanation of why this isn't an argument against the possibility of evolution.

The third law of thermodynamics: "As a system approaches absolute zero of temperature all processes cease and the entropy of the system approaches a minimum value."

I'm not sure how this applies, it has to do with temperature, doesn't seem very relative to the genetic mutations that happen in natural selection and evolution.

You can't. That's why I say that the more I study physics, biology and genetics, the more it strengthens my faith. I think that the more you study how wonderfully designed this universe is, the less you can deny the existance of a creator. Why fight it?

Entropy, to me, is a clue that shows that macroevolution is a false theory.

I know you weren't asking for this answer, but why try to prove something illogical because you don't want to believe in God?

Where's the conflict? This law only deals with potential energy and entropy. Having an adenine base replaced with a cytosine base requires the same energy as replicating the adenine base.

th e2nd law is what I hear most. its missunderstood by many... the main factor being that it applies to a closed system (information degrades because nothing is added back into it) living animals are not closed systems... its like saying penguins dont fly...and making generalized translation of birds dont fly. And then saying that science says birds dont fly... but yet they do so there is a paradox. it is a mistatement of the 2nd law...
