Vet gave my cat Frontline. Not sure how he got fleas because he is an indoor cat. Possibly the owners before us.

use a bug bomb to kill them then get eucalyptus fleas hate it you can get it almost anywhere walmart Michael's etc. . You can use it as decoration like sprays , swags in floral decorations . You can also get it in a oil form and use it in a oil burner . or dot the oil around your home in plants and things i put it on the filter for my ac. the fleas will stay away.

If you can afford it get a strong carpet cleaner or new carpet.....We have 11 cats and once we got the new carpet the fleas went away....and they even go outsige(but in a huge cage we built, no its not a kennel, its a 8 ft tall cage, 35ft long and wide, they love it, and they even have a cat door) but anyway that was off the subject, so try new carpet...........P.S. if you ever have given him grass, it carries fleas and worms.......good luck

Don't bug bomb! They leave a pesticide residue on everything in the house.
Vacuum the carpet and then sprinkle Twenty Mule Team Borax on it. The borax in the product will kill the fleas in your carpet. Keep doing this everytime you vacuum and in a couple of weeks the borax will kill all the fleas that are hatching in your carpet.
