All the other choices are very good, bu i think Arabic is the most beautiful written languages because it lends itself to calligraphy with very little effort. Many beautiful mosques are decorated with calligraphy based on Kuranic verses. Stunningly beautiful.

Japanese because of and in spite of it`s incredible complexity.
Witness Osaka, Kyoto or Sendai at night, advertising flashing at you in a vast array of colours, shapes and forms. Or the sublime form of it`s many calligraphic styles. It is the most complicated writing system ever devised and uses four different scripts just so that thoughts and notions, ideas and concepts can be adequately explained. Anybody in the world must be impressed to see it, even if we cannot read it, we must appreciate its beautiful form.

I think the Thai script is really beautiful- so curved and delicate- and quite unlike Chinese, which surprises me... I suppose they must be more influenced by Sanskrit, which is nice to look at too.

While I think Chinese, Hebrew, and Arabic are very beautifully scripted languages, I would have to vote for Sanskrit. It just looks so, so freakin' cool.
