Can anyone tell me which would be the best option for me. Would it be easier to apply for a K1 fiance visa and then marry my fiance in his country or while I'm here in his home country, get married then apply for a spouse visa?

I'm currently on a B2 tourist visa.. would it be frowned upon to get married on this visa?

You can get married on the B2 visa while you're in the US. If you file for a K-1 visa you must get married in the US fter you go there with that visa.

However, as a 21-year consular officer, I strongly recommend that you get married wherever (that part doesnt matter), then have your husband file the I-130 petition for a 'spouse' visa, and you get that visa overseas rather than trying to adjust status in the US.

The CR-1 sometimes takes a little longer than the K-1 fiance visa, but the process is simpler in the end because you get all the complicated paperwork done at once. Also, getting an immigrant visa overseas is far more straightforward and there is less room for mistakes or problems than if you try to stay in the US and try to adjust. I have heard of far too many AOS nightmares that drag on for years.
