Walking is the best thing, as long as your doctor says it is fine. It keeps your circulation going, and you have so much to see...I walk three and a half miles everyday. I always take my radio with me, and listen to music or Bible stories, and love it. I see the ducks, and the beautiful scenery...walking is the best thing to do...keeps you going and the Heart pumpin. good luck..

Get into a rehab program and do everything they say.

Eat a well balanced, cardiac diet.

If you a depressed (a common occurance after open heart surgery) get professional help as this will slow down your will to get up and do things.

Don't think of yourself as "sick". You are not sick.. you are fixed and getting better and stronger everyday.

If you want to live to be a ripe old age listen to what your Dr says.
