They fought already, Roy won a decision. If they fought again the outcome would be the same.

It'd be a boring fight just like the first one. When they first fought, Jones had more experience and Hopkins was still not the boxer fully developed and experienced. If they fought now, I'd put my money on Hopkins. They won't gain anything from fighting each other though. Hopkins has done everything he wanted to accomplish in boxing. Same with Jones. He's just hanging in there for too long. He's getting old and doesn't have the speed he used to have.

At this point, because Hopkins was more active than Roy and fighting at a higher level in recent years, I would go with B-Hop. Roy has shown that his reflexes are not near what they were, and B-Hop defies age and his conditioning is excellent. I would give it to Hopkins in a decision even though it would probably be a boring fight. Besides that Hopkins became a much craftier fighter since the last meeting and has fought a much higher quality of competition. He might even knock Roy out in the late rounds.

Well at least one guy in the question answering has a brain. Roy would point hopkins out of his shoes, i like them both but styles make fights and hopkins style is perfect for the great Roy Jones JR. 12 round decision going to RJ JR ( Easy victory)

Roy ducked the rematch so many times it started to get comical. His biggest argument for not fighting was that he would not split the purse 50/50 believing he was the bigger draw, not Hopkins. So he opted to go up to Heavyweight and beat probably the biggest joke in Heavyweight history, Ruiz. They call him the quiet man cause you can't hear anything he says over all the booing from the crowd. He dropped back to Lite Heavy and bamm, ran into Tarver and Johnson. Hopkins would have won the rematch. Roy wasn't stupid he knew this too. Hopkins said on ESPN that he is done, retired. I hope he stays retired and doesn't follow the path of guys like Sugar Ray Leonard and Holyfield (one of my favorite boxers all time). Sad note Holyfield is fighting again, he is really going to get hurt and can't admit it.

They've fought. Jones won easily. Too fast for Hopkins. Now that he's slowed, I'd go with Hopkins.

Could be a good fight and I think Hopkins would avenge his defeat against Jones.

i would say it's a good fight but not a great one because they're both past their primes already ... and hopkins said that he would retire after he has beaten tarver ... and roy jones is not the fighter he was once anymore ...

I would LOVE TO SEE THAT FIGHT! Bernard would win, hands down. It would not be too exciting due to Roy's recent lack of aggression, but if it happens in Vegas, I am making the trek to see that one live! It would be nice to see Roy knocked out.

Good question, I'd also like to see Jones fight for the crusierweight title.
