Are you seeing a psychiatrist? Are you on medication right now? When I was on antidepressants it gave me the urge to pull my hair and I did. But that urge disappeared when I went off the medication...i really think it was a side effect of the medicine.

HOWEVER, I know there are antidepressants (like Paxil I think) that can actually HELP alleviate the urge to pull your hair.

CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR or psychiatrist and be compeletely honest with them. Honesty will be the best way to combat the problem. You may even be referred to a psychotherapist who will help you come up with a plan on resisting the urge to pull.
