Is ALL physical touching including hugs, kisses, back rubs not acceptable before marriage? What do you do with thoughts, feelings, and needs if you are middle age (late 40's) and find that special someone that fits so well into my life and I into his. We both believe God gave us each other as a very special gift and we want to live in God's word. However, the physical attraction is strong!

I'm not a bible thumper but I will try to help you. The only laws of marriage that i have found are in the old testament. The passage I've found is in Deuteronomy chapters 22 - 25. But you have to realize that this is a period when men had several wives. Also it seems that people in this time period were very savage like and couldn't act civily unless God set a law for them to abide by. I'm not sure what your situtation is or if you previous marriage is enulled. I can relate to you because i'm a single father also divorced. I think that if you have a strong relationship with God and know in your heart the the person you were married to was not married to you for love and was not committed entirerly to the marriage that your divorce is justified. I think that sometimes people forget what marriage means. However, we are supposed to controll our lusting desires, and if this is the person for you, what a show of love letting them know that you are willing to wait. I know the temptations are super strong and i can't tell you not to give in because i have already given in to those desires. I don't think that kissing or back rubs is unacceptable. You might concider talking with your pastor or minister to get some religious guidance. I know i kind of rambled on but the bible does say there are cases and circumstances where divorce is ok and after divorce remarriage is ok. Hope i helped, and just keep praying for answers and talk to sombody who knows the teachings of the bible. :)

If you are a new Christian, it would behoove you to spend more time in the bible, finding out what it says for yourself, before going any further into your, kisses, back rubs and all physical touching, etc. Physical attraction is always strong and is usually the easiest path to falling into sin! Believing in God and following what he says to do, is not the same thing. The two have to go together. If you are not in a church that teaches christian values, then I would suggest you find one, otherwise you will be snared by the desires of your flesh, and will be just another person professing "Christianity", without any possession of the power of God in your life. Since you are new to it, believe for sure that the "devil" is going to come at you with all of the physical, and whatever other weaknesses he can tap into, to cause you to fall!

There is a big issue these days with the Bible and everything that is written in it.

Remember, Jesus was on this earth in human form and he did flirt with women in his time and had many relationships with many as well. Problem is, there is nothing in the bible about that.

In fact, there is a big gap in the bible from the time that Jesus was 14 until just before he was 33. Go figure.

Remember, he performed the first marriage ever when he was nailed to a cross. That should say much about what he believed in and why too. The interpretation of the bible leaves much to the undecided. Remember this.

Use common sense when you approach this topic. Happiness is ours no matter how many people are in our lives. Jesus wanted everyone to be happy and only wanted the very best for us and he was living proof of that too. He experienced it all. I"m sure there were many in his time that were of the same mind and body too.

In the Bible divorce is not acceptable, even if you are going to marry someone else, you are still considered married to the first person in God's eyes. So all that physical stuff before marriage is not acceptable, but no sin is greater than the next.

First off the bible says it is better to live life alone, but if you love someone than marry them. But it also says that divorce is against his will, and you have done so already, by being divorced. So I wouldnt worry too much about offending GOD anymore, if it feels right in your heart, pray about it, and see where it goes from there,

WHAT IS UNACCEPTABLE IS ANY KIND OF TOUCHING OR PHYSICAL CONTACT THAT MAKES YOU LUST- HAVE LUSTFUL THOUGHTS OR TEMPTS YOU TO GO FURTHER. AND ASSUMING YOU ARE A HEALTHY FEMALE THEN HOLDING HANDS AND HUGS AND KISSES ON THE CHEEK ARE SAFE. ALSO IF YOU GUYS FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT EACH OTHER THAT YOU FIT PERFECTLY INTO EACH OTHERS LIVES- THEN GO AHEAD AND GET MARRIED. YOU ARE ADULTS HERE. AND GOD KNOWS YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR STRUGGLES AMEN? AS FAR AS THOUGHTS THE BIBLE SAYS TO CAST OUT ANY IMPURE THOUGHTS.

I hope since you are are talking like a christian that your divorce was due to adultery on his part. If not then you have sinned already and whatever you do with a man now dont matter.

Nothing, by the law of God you are not suppose to get divorce ever, "until death do us apart", so if its already done, live it up.

you are not allowed to have sexual relations until your original spouse is dead

Remember, though, that our God is a forgiving God, especially if your first marriage was any kind of abusive
