She's an otherwise healthy little kitty, but she's been sneezing since I picked her out at our local shelter, so I don't think it has to do with my home. Is this normal? Should I be as concerned as I am?

Yes, she has been vaccinated.

There are a few possibilities here, First she just may have an allergy, its summer and there is allot of pollin in the air.
My brother has a cat that starts sneezing when the air conditioner is put on.
The other possibility is that when she was in the shelter she may have picked up and been treated for an upper respiratory infection, It is not uncommon for a cat that has has a URI to continue to sneeze months after the infection has been treated.
As long as kitty is still active and not acting lethargic or having a white discharge out her nostrils she should be o.k. but in any case just monitor her to see if she is developing a URI.

If you have any great concerns as to the health of your kittie a trip to the vets is an option.

She may have distemper. Sneezing is a sign of upper respiratory tract infection. I know this because all of my cats were sneezing up a storm and finally I took them to the vet and they all had distemper, which would have killed them. So, go and get the Distemper vaccine, just to be on the safe side. Its fairly cheap. And believe me- its well worth it.

could be allergies, could be a cold
my cat sneezes all the time and it turns out he's allergic.... who knows... maybe he's allergic to cats? maybe he's allergic to people...
since the kitty doesn't exhibit any other signs of being ill, wait a bit and if the sneezing continues, take her to the vet.
you need to have her examined and get her shots anyway.

Ok, best bet is to take her to the vet, because she's probabaly sick with something. Probably nothing serious, but probably something. And yes, it is possiable that she's allergic with something at your house... Like anyoen else can be... or she may just have a kitty cold... But considering she's just a little kitten, a vet visit would be your best bet...

Try giving her a half a benedryl ...one half in the morning and one in the evening and the second day the same.. see if it stops .. she could be or have allergies... or she could have a touch of dystemper and that is not the greatest thing to have.. Has it been vaccinated for all those disgusting cat diseases?

feels like allergies. If it final for greater desirable than 2 weeks to a month of persevering with sneezing i could take her to the vet to get some hypersensitivity drugs. they are able to offer her photos. could be a touch high priced.

It sounds like it could be an allergy or irritant. You'd be amazed that most cats can suffer from the same conditions as people.
