No, I always got really excited too. And now that I'm out of school, I still get excited because all the fun office supples come out...

That's not unusual at all. Lots of kids love school. Usually, though, it's because they are really social kids that love having their friends around all the time and stuff to do.
I am a teacher and I really, really love my job. I hate the first week of school, because everything and everyone is so stiff, but other than that, I really look forward to school starting, usually. I've about had enough of summer already.

Are you kidding? I am 22 and damn, I get excited too. I like all the new people in enviroments that allow you to learn about certain areas of interest. Plus, all the new people!
I hate summer too, since it is hot (I'm in GA). And none of my close friends are around, so we all meet up all throughout school!

No, you're not alone. I'm with you and have been most of my life. During the summer, after a short break, I start to miss the structure and the social aspects that school brings to my life. I live life in semesters.

No. If it's a good school and you're really getting something out of it, putting something into it your soft edge unpopularity is only just beginning. See, people don't associate school with learning, it's a social club to them. Like church. I wish you the very best!
